Saturday and Sunday, March 10 & 11 at the Greater Detroit back to back specialties marked the beginning show careers of Runrig Solar Flare and Runrig Once In A Blue Moon At Copperglen. Hunter is owned with us by Carol Ackerson. He is shown by Carol. Under Sweeps judge Cris Gray, in the 6 to 9 puppy dog class he was awarded 2nd place.
Flare shown in the 6 to 9 puppy bitch was awarded 4 th in a class of 8 in sweeps. Judge Chris Gray remarked that she was delightfully naughty.
The regular classes were judged by Canadian judge Darle Heck. Hunter placed 4 th in 6 to 9 puppy dog class. Flare also placed
4th in the puppy bitch class.
CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro, Zorro was shown in Best Of Breed competition. Judge Darle Heck rewarded him with an Award Of Merit.
Sunday’s sweepstakes was judged by judge Lois Tubbs. Hunter earned second place in 6 to 9 puppy dog class.
Flare also earned second place in the puppy bitch class.
CTCA president, Karen Wilson judged the regular classes. Hunter was awarded first place in his class.
Flare continued with her naughty ways and was awarded second in her class.
We are very pleased with these first showings of these two promising puppies!

March 23 was the day for the Trinity Valley Cairn Terrier specialty show. Our girl, Runrig Solar Flare earned first place in the 6 to 9 puppy bitch sweeps under Judge Clark Pennypacker. She also was awarded Best Puppy In Sweeps.
Regular class judge was Breeder judge Mark Hamilton. Flare was first In the 6 to 9 puppy bitch class.

Saturday’s show was judged by judge P. Wade. Flare once again was first in 6 to 9 puppy bitch class. She was also RWB this day!
Zorro, was once again awarded Select Dog.
The time has come for our solar eclipse litter to spread their wings and fly. Hunter and Simon will soon be leaving us. Flare will remain here with us. We wish all the puppies a very happy and loved life!

The puppies are now 10 weeks old and are preparing to depart for their new homes.
Hunter will be co- owned with Carol Ackerson and will begin a show career early next year.
Our Flare will be our keeper. She also will start her show career next year.
Sweet Simon will be bringing much love to his new family in Louisiana.
At the Mississippi Valley Kennel Club, CH Runrig Masquerade made her second appearance as a special. She was awarded BO under judge Pat Trotter. This earned her a second three point major towards her GCH.

We are pleased to announce that the dam of these three littermates is now a Dam Of Merit for having produced three Champions. CH Champagne And Diamonds, Taylor not only produced three champions, but three in one litter!
Thursday at the CTCA national Specialty show celebrating the clubs 100 years in St Louis Missouri was CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro's next shows. In a class of over 70 specials Zorro made the cut of about 16 specials.the judge was breeder judge from Scotland, Mr Iain Shaw.
The Next day at the Trinity Valley Regional Specialty show, Zorro once again made the cut. This time under breeder Judge John Kimes. We were very pleased at our young boys showing. He was only 21 months old and his first time to compete in such a large ring of specials.
Saturday at the North West Kennel Club was CH Runrig Masquerade, Teddy's first time out as a special. She received Select bitch for a 3 point major towards her GCH. She was awarded this by judge Fred C Bassett.
Sunday was CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro's turn to show. Under Judge William Potter he received Select Dog.

Saturday under judge Steve Keating, Runrig Masquerade, Teddy was awarded WB and BO over a special for two points as well as BOBOH. Littermate Runrig Masked Marvel At Copperglen, Steel, was awarded WD, BW, and BOB for 2 points. Steel was shown by owner Carol Ackerson. CH Runrig Mask of Zorro, shown by friend Hollie Hunter was awarded Select Dog.
On Sunday, Teddy was once again WB for another two points, under judge John P Wade. Litter-mate Zorro, was shown again by Hollie Hunter and awarded Select dog with his brother Steel being awarded WD, BW, BOB, as well as a group 4. Carol Ackerson guided Steel to his wins.

Sundays show saw Zorro go first in his class under breeder judge Ms Diane Gains. With Steel going second. The regular classes were judged by Jane Parker from Canada. Zorro once again took first in his class. Littermate Steel placed fourth. Runrig Masquerade, Teddy also made her ring debut at these shows. Saturday under Ms Walker Teddy placed 2nd in a very competitive class of 6. Under Mette Sørum she placed third in the regular classes. Sundays show brought similar results. Teddy was once again 2nd in sweeps under Ms Diane Gains and 3rd under Jane Parker in the regular classes. His first time in the ring under breeder, owner sweeps judge Ms Elizabeth Walker, saw him go second in his class to his litter brother, Steele. Runrig Masked Marvel At Copperglen. This was repeated in the regular classes under breeder, owner judge, Mette Sørum of Denmark.

At the Cairn Terrier Club of Denver's 25th silver anniversary show Runrig Moonlit Frost, was awarded Winners Bitch, Best Bred By, and Best Opposite Sex over Specials! She was awarded this honor by Judge Pat Trotter. This win earned her a five point major, and a CTCA goblet win!!
CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen, "Devlin" was awarded Best Of Breed under Judges Desmond Murphy and Charles Trotter, at The Spirit Of the Heartland and the Jefferson County Of Missouri Kennel Clubs. Devlin earned 8 points and 2 more majors towards his GCH. He now has 4 majors! Devlin was shown to his wins by his owner Carol Ackerson.
