Saturday and Sunday, March 10 & 11 at the Greater Detroit back to back specialties marked the beginning show careers of Runrig Solar Flare and Runrig Once In A Blue Moon At Copperglen. Hunter is owned with us by Carol Ackerson. He is shown by Carol. Under Sweeps judge Cris Gray, in the 6 to 9 puppy dog class he was awarded 2nd place.

Flare shown in the 6 to 9 puppy bitch was awarded 4 th in a class of 8 in sweeps. Judge Chris Gray remarked that she was delightfully naughty.

The regular classes were judged by Canadian judge Darle Heck. Hunter placed 4 th in 6 to 9 puppy dog class. Flare also placed
4th in the puppy bitch class.

CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro, Zorro was shown in Best Of Breed competition. Judge Darle Heck rewarded him with an Award Of Merit.

Sunday’s sweepstakes was judged by judge Lois Tubbs. Hunter earned second place in 6 to 9 puppy dog class.

Flare also earned second place in the puppy bitch class.

CTCA president, Karen Wilson judged the regular classes. Hunter was awarded first place in his class.

Flare continued with her naughty ways and was awarded second in her class.

We are very pleased with these first showings of these two promising puppies!

CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro and his littermate CH Runrig Masked Marvel If Copperglen were both given Award Of Merits from Judge Karen Wilson. Steel is owned and shown by Carol Ackerson.

March 23 was the day for the Trinity Valley Cairn Terrier specialty show. Our girl, Runrig Solar Flare earned first place in the 6 to 9 puppy bitch sweeps under Judge Clark Pennypacker. She also was awarded Best Puppy In Sweeps.

Regular class judge was Breeder judge Mark Hamilton. Flare was first In the 6 to 9 puppy bitch class.

CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro, was awarded select dog.

Saturday’s show was judged by judge P. Wade. Flare once again was first in 6 to 9 puppy bitch class. She was also RWB this day!

Zorro, was once again awarded Select Dog.


November 2017

The time has come for our solar eclipse litter to spread their wings and fly. Hunter and Simon will soon be leaving us. Flare will remain here with us. We wish all the puppies a very happy and loved life!
You will always be in my heart.

The puppies are now 10 weeks old and are preparing to depart for their new homes.
 Hunter will be co- owned with Carol Ackerson and will begin a show career early next year.
  Our Flare will be our keeper. She also will start her show career next year.
 Sweet Simon will be bringing much love to his new family in Louisiana.

August 2017

Our expected litter has arrived!
We are pleased to announce the arrival of 3 puppies born August 17, 2017.
Two boys and one girl were all safely delivered and doing well.

June 2 & 3, 2017

At the Mississippi Valley Kennel Club, CH Runrig Masquerade made her second appearance as a special. She was awarded BO under judge Pat Trotter. This earned her a second three point major towards her GCH.

Sunday, CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro saw Zorro being awarded BOB under Judge Rosemary Shoreman. Zorro earned a 5 point major towards his GCH.

A third littermate, Runrig Masked Marvel at Copperglen, owned by Carol Ackerson. Was shown at this cluster as well.

Steel was awarded WD, BW for a 3 point major at The Gateway Terrier Association show under judge Darren Bowey. Sunday at the Missouri Rhineland Kennel Club Show, under breeder judge Karen Wilson Steel earned another 3 point major going WD, and BW. This completed his championship.

We are extremely proud of these three litter-mates. Each has shown very well and completed there championships with ease all before turning two year old. We look forward to seeing them continue their show careers as specials.

We are pleased to announce that the dam of these three littermates is now a Dam Of Merit for having produced three Champions. CH Champagne And Diamonds, Taylor not only produced three champions, but three in one litter!

May 4 & 5 2017

Thursday at the CTCA national Specialty show celebrating the clubs 100 years in St Louis Missouri was CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro's next shows. In a class of over 70 specials Zorro made the cut of about 16 specials.the judge was breeder judge from Scotland, Mr Iain Shaw.

The Next day at the Trinity Valley Regional Specialty show, Zorro once again made the cut. This time under breeder Judge John Kimes. We were very pleased at our young boys showing. He was only 21 months old and his first time to compete in such a large ring of specials.

April 22 & 23 2017

Saturday at the North West Kennel Club was CH Runrig Masquerade, Teddy's first time out as a special. She received Select bitch for a 3 point major towards her GCH. She was awarded this by judge Fred C Bassett.

Sunday was CH Runrig Mask Of Zorro's turn to show. Under Judge William Potter he received Select Dog.

May 4 & 5 2017
 March 29 & 30 and April 1 & 2  2017
Wednesday at the Mid Continent Show under Judge Barbara Dempsey , Runrig Masquerade was Awarded WB and BO for a 3 point major. Runrig Mask of Zorro was awarded BOB as well as BOBOH for a 3 point major towards his GCH.

Thursday's show under judge Joanne Paula saw Teddy go BW and BO again with Zorro taking breed again.

Saturday at the Clairemore Kennel Club of OK judge Cecilia Ringstrom awarded Runrig Masquerade her WB and BO for her third major win. This also finished Teddy's Championship.

At Saturday's show under judge Alan Bennett Runrig Masquerade, Teddy owner handled was awarded 4 th in the bred by class

At Sunday's Show Teddy was again awarded 4th in bred by. Littermate, CH Runrig Mask of Zorro, received an Award of merit. Both were owner handled.

January 28 & 29 2017 at the St Charles Kennel Club Shows

Saturday under judge Steve Keating, Runrig Masquerade, Teddy was awarded WB and BO over a special for two points as well as BOBOH. Littermate Runrig Masked Marvel At Copperglen, Steel, was awarded WD, BW, and BOB for 2 points. Steel was shown by owner Carol Ackerson. CH Runrig Mask of Zorro, shown by friend Hollie Hunter was awarded Select Dog.

Introducing our newest boy. Zorro has just started his show career and in two short weeks he earned his Championship title.  He has been shown very limitedly this year, as we have been allowing him time to mature. He entered the ring for the first time in March of 2016 at 7 months old at the Cairn Terrier Of Greater Detroit's back to back specialty shows.

Sundays show saw Zorro go first in his class under breeder judge Ms Diane Gains. With Steel going second. The regular classes were judged by Jane Parker from Canada. Zorro once again took first in his class. Littermate Steel placed fourth.     

Runrig Masquerade, Teddy also made her ring debut at these shows. Saturday under Ms Walker Teddy placed 2nd in a very competitive class of 6. Under Mette Sørum she placed  third in the regular classes. 

Sundays show brought similar results. Teddy was once again 2nd in sweeps under Ms Diane Gains and 3rd under Jane Parker in the regular  classes. 
His first time in the ring under breeder, owner  sweeps judge Ms Elizabeth Walker, saw him go second in his class to his litter brother, Steele. Runrig Masked Marvel At Copperglen. This was repeated in the regular classes under breeder, owner judge, Mette  Sørum of Denmark.

August 2016

 The Sumac Cairn terrier club was Zorro's second venture into the show ring. Here Zorro was first in the 12 to 18 month class and littermate Steel was 3rd. In the regular classes things were reversed with Steel taking 1st and Zorro going 3rd. Under judge Roberta Campbell. 

Littermate, Runrig Masquerade sat these shows out. As she was out of coat.

This fall we decided to enter the ring once more.

Sat November 5, 2016 

Our girl Runrig Masquerade, Teddy was Reserve winners bitch to a 5 point major from the bred by class. She was awarded this at the Tri State Kennel club show, under judge Fred C. Bassett. This was Teddies first return to the ring since being a young puppy.

Sunday November 6, 2016

At Sundays show during the Tri state kennel club shows p, Zorro earned winners dog and best of winners under judge Mr Del Richards. This win earned him a 5 point major. 

November 11, 2016

During the Ozark Kennel club shows, Zorro earned his second 5 point major under judge  Gerard Penta. Mr Penta Awarded Zorro, winners dog, best of winners, as well as best of breed!  

Mr Penta also awarded Teddy, Runrig Masquerade reserve winners bitch to another 5 point major. 

November 12, 2016 

Under breeder judge, Karen Wilson, Zorro was winners dog, and best of winners for a third 5 point major win and to complete his Championship. 

November 13, 2016

Sundays show Teddy was awarded winners bitch for a 4 point major under judge Judith Bennet. This has been a very exciting start for these youngsters. We look forward to seeing more of these two in the ring next year.

Our two lovely youngsters a little over 3 months old.

We are delighted to have both Zorro and his sister staying with us! Runrig The Mask Of Zorro and Runrig Masquerade,
will also be showing next year. We are so excited about these youngsters!  
Runrig The Masked Marvel At Copperglen, "Steel" is now living with Carol Ackerson.
We look forward to seeing the two of them in the show ring next year!

We are delighted to welcome a new litter! Born on Monday July 13, 2015.  We have four boys and one girl. Mom, Taylor and puppies are all doing well. Sire is SCH, DKCH, GCH Hjohoo's Give Me Hjour Love, Ruffian. Bred by Elisabeth Theodorsson and owned by Jim and Linda Spain. Dam is our CH Runrig Champagne And Diamonds, Taylor.

We are proud to announce that CH Runrig Champagne And Diamonds. "Taylor" is expecting a littler of puppies due July 16, 2015 Sire is SCH, DKCH, AMGCH Hjohoo's Give Me Your Love, "Ruffian" Ruffian is bred by Elizabeth Theodorsson of Sweden. His owners are Linda and Jim Spain. Ruffian is the CTCA National speciality winner in 2013.

Judge Cindy Vogels awarded new CH Runrig Moonlit Frost Best Of Breed over a nice specials class for a 4 point major. The following day under Judge Bill White Torin was awarded Best Of Winners. We were obligated to not move out girl up to the specials class to hold points for the weekend.

At the Rolla Missouri Kennel Club show, Torin became CH Runrig Moonlit Frost. Torin finished her championship by going Winners Bitch and Best Of Opposite Sex over specials. Thank you judge Kathi Brown! Torin finished her title with two 5 point majors and goblet wins at specialty shows. She earned a 4 point major this weekend as well. We are very proud of this young girl!

"Torin," Runrig Moonlit Frost won her second five point major at the CTCGD under breeder judge, Virginia Cadwallader! Torin was Winners Bitch and  awarded best Bred by Bitch as well as an Award Of Merit. This win earns her, her second CTCA goblet! This young girl, at just 18 months, is  one point from finishing her championship! As always, she was breeder, owner, handled.

August 15, 2014

 At the Cairn Terrier Club of Denver's 25th silver anniversary show Runrig  Moonlit Frost, was awarded Winners Bitch, Best Bred By, and Best Opposite Sex over Specials! She was awarded this honor by Judge Pat Trotter. This win earned her a five point major, and a CTCA goblet win!!
The following Day, Torin again won the Bred by Class and was awarded Reserve Winners bitch by Judge Charles Trotter. Her Best Bred By win, earned her a place to compete in the Bred By Terrier Group. She was awarded a Group 2 placement  in a nice terrier line up by Judge Daniel W Dowling
Torin celebrated her first birthday on July 28, 2014. We are very proud of this young girls accomplishments!
As always, she was breeder, owner handled!

July 3, 4, 5, & 6, 2014

t was a hot and exciting weekend of shows in Dallas Texas! The weekend was filled with lots of fireworks and wins, at the North Texas All Terrier Club, Texas Kennel Club, Trinity Valley Kennel Club and Greater Collins Kennel club shows!
Thursday July 3rd, our young girl "Torin," won best in Sweeps at the North Texas Kennel Club show under judge Della Highly. Piperglen Chasing the Dream was awarded WD, as well as BOW under judge Thomas Lee Hossfeld.
Friday, the fourth of July was celebrated in great style! Runrig Moonlit Frost, "Torin" was awarded WB and BOS, by Judge Ronald N Rello. As always, she was owner handled to this win. Not to be outdone by his young cousin, Piperglen Chasing the Dream. "Phelps" was awarded, WD, BOW and BOB. Phelps is bred by Jan Stephenson and co-owned with Sydney Young. Phelps is sired by GCH, CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous.
Saturday, Moonlit Frost continued her winning ways by going WB, BOW and BOS. Judge Robert E Hutton awarded her these wins!
Sunday was another good day at the shows! "Phelps" Piperglen Chasing the Dream was shown to WD, BOW and BOB by his co-owner, Sydney Young for his first major! Our young girl, "Torin", who has just turned 11 months was awarded RWB.  Judge for these wins was Mr. Fredrick R Stephens.

May 29, 30 & 31, 2014

At the Gateway All terrier Speciality show, Ch Runrig Devilsihly Dangerous At Copper Glen was awarded BOB to complete his GCH.  He was awarded this win by judge Merle Taylor."Devlin" was also awarded BOB at the Missouri Rhineland shows under judges Cindy Vogels and Judith A. Franklin. He was shown to these awards by owner, handler Carol Ackerson.
Devlin joins his litter mates, GCH CH Runrig Dangerously Adorable, "Isobel" and GCH CH Runrig Armed And Dangerous, "Gunner" to become the third in a litter of 4 champions to earn his GCH! This litter is sired by AMCH CACH Quarrydene's Gambling Man out of CH Runrig Hotter'N Hades!!
Our latest addition, Runrig Moonlit Frost, "Torin" has been maturing and learning to show. She is now 10 months old and has recently gone RWB at several shows including majors. We are very pleased at her progress, and are excited to so see her begin her show career in the next several months! Torin is sired by CAGCH CACH, Quarrydene's Northern Explorer out of GCH CH Runrig Dangerously Adorable.
May 3 & 4, 2014

CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen, "Devlin" was awarded Best Of Breed under Judges Desmond Murphy and Charles Trotter, at The Spirit Of the Heartland and the Jefferson County Of Missouri Kennel Clubs. Devlin earned 8 points and 2 more majors towards his GCH. He now has 4 majors! Devlin was shown to his wins by his owner Carol Ackerson.

Easter Sunday at the D'arbonne Kennel club show Runrig Fire Fly At Piperglen,     "Allie" finished her Championship by going WB, and BOS under judge Charles Olvis. Allie is bred by Vickie Shotwell and Co-owned with Jan Stephenson. We are very proud of both Allie and Jan. Allie finished her title having earned 3 majors along the way. Allie is sired by CA CH Checkers Gingerbread Man x GCH CH Runrig Dangerously Adorable
Another young dog that we are proud of is  Piperglen Chasing The Dream. Bred by Jan Stephenson, who is co-owned with her niece, Sydney Young. He was awarded WD both Sat. and Sun. On Sunday he was also awarded BOW and BOB. Phelps is sired by CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen x Piperglen Dancin On The Edge. Phelps is Sydney's first show dog!

At the Shreveport Kennel show, Runrig Moonlit Frost earned her first points. She was awarded WB, BOW, and BOB, by judge Anne Katona from the 6 to 9 puppy class. We are very proud of this young girl as she starts her show career off on the right paw! Torin, was shown by her breeder and owner Vickie Shotwell. Torin is sired by CA CH Quarrydene's Northern Explorer x GCH, CH Runrig Dangerously Adorable .

CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen was awarded BOB under judge Carol Beattie at the Cairn Terrier of Greater Detroit's Sat. speciality show. Devlin was shown to this honor by how owner Carol Ackerson. At Sundays speciality, Devlin earned and award of merit under judge Dawn Inett.
