At the Trinity Valley Cairn Terrier winter speciality show, Runrig Fire Fly At Pipperglen won her third major. "Allie" was awarded WB for 3 points under judge Tom Berry. She was shown by her owner Jan Stephenson. At only 17 months of age this girl needs just one point to finish her championship.

Most of the puppies have gone to their new homes. The two girls are going to be staying. We would like to introduce Runrig Moonlit Frost, "Zana"and Runrig Silver Glitter, "Suki".

We are happy to welcome our newest litter of puppies! Five puppies born  Sunday, July 28, 2013. Three boys and two girls. Dam GCH Runrig Dangerously Adorable, 'Izzy"   Sire, CA CH Quarrydene Northern Explorer, "Hudson" Mom and puppies are all doing well!

October 5th &  6th, 2013

It is Montgomery County Weekend once again! This year  Runrig Fire Fly at Piperglen, "Allie"  attended. Allie is owned by Jan Stephenson and her breeder, Vickie Shotwell.
 
On Saturday, the CTCA national sweeps was held in Philadelphia. Allie was shown by Jan, and  placed 3 rd in a large and very competitive class! We are very proud of this accomplishment!
 
Also attending this weekend was  Piperglen Chasing the Dream, "Phelps"  Phelps is bred by Jan Stephenson and is co-owned with Sydney Young.  Sydney and Phelps won their class at the  CTCA National Sweeps!! Phelps is sired by  CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen out of Piperglen Dancin On The Edge. 
 
Sunday, the CTCA National Specialty brought the second largest entry at Montgomery County Kennel Club show, with a total of 115 entries. Judge Sassa Stenroos from Finland was the honored judge.
 
Runrig Fire Fly, "Allie" handled by owner Jan Stephenson was awarded second in her class. She competed in the 12 to 15 month class. We are very proud of this young girl who has had very limited showing!
 
Also competing was Piperglen Chasing The Dream, "Phelps" . Phelps also was awarded second in his class. Phelps was show by his owner Sydney Young. Syndey is also new to showing, and this was her second specialty show to attend! We look forward to seeing more of these two in the ring!

June 2013

We have 5 puppies due July 29th. Sire is Canadian CH Quarrydene Northern Explorer, "Hudson" Dam is GCH Runrig Dangerously Adorable, "Isobel"
 
 We are very excited about this upcoming litter! The sire was Winners Dog at the Canadian National Specialty this past May. Hudson, finished his Championship going Best Of Breed over specials at another specialty. Hudson, is a young boy just over a year old. This is second litter. We are looking forward to seeing more of this boy in the ring. Hudson is Bred by Merril Schmitt, of Calgary Canada.
 
This will be Izzy's second litter. Puppies from her litter last summer are doing well in the ring! Both girls are pointed, and one has her majors! Izzy is a very typey girl, who finished her championship at one year, and her grand championship in just 3 weekends of shows. She won several sweeps, was Best Of Winners at specialties, and was Best Opposite sex  her first time out as a special at the Chicago Club specialty. She has passed all her health test.

At the first of two specialty shows held by the Detroit Cairn Terrier Club, Ch Runrig Champagne And Diamonds, "Taylor" received an Award Of Merit under breeder judge, Ken Kauffman. The following day the second specialty show was judged by, judge Ken Mc Dermott. At this show, CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen, "Devlin" was awarded Best Opposite Sex. Devlin was shown by his owner, Carol Ackerson. His daughter, CH Runrig Champagne And Diamonds, "Taylor" was given the first Award Of Merrit.

At the Trinity Valley Cairn Terrier Club's specialty show, Runrig Fire Fly At Piperglen received Best Opposite Sex in Sweeps. Allie was awarded this honor under breeder judge, Beth Wilson-Wilder. Allie was shown by her owner, Jan Stephenson.
 
 Going Best In Sweeps, was Piperglen Chasing The Dream, Phelps. Phelps is sired by CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen, out of Piperglen Dancin On The Edge. He is owned and shown by Sydney Young. Phelps was bred by and co-owned with Jan Stephenson.
 
At Sundays show under judge Harold Tatro III, Runrig Fire Fly At Piperglen was awarded Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex for a 3 point major!! Allie was shown by owner Jan Stephenson. She is bred by and co-owned with Vickie Shotwell.
Another good month for Runrig Cairns!!

The New Year, has gotten off to a very good start here at Runrig Cairns!

On Jan, 25, 2013 Several of the puppies from our last litter made their ring debut, at the Alexandria Kennel Club shows. Runrig Fanning The Flames, "Maggie" and her new to showing, owner Shardie Oneal entered the ring for the first time. On this day, under judge Mr. Charles E. Trotter, Maggie was awarded, Winners bitch, Best of Winners, as well as Best Of Breed, for her first 2 points,  at just 6 months old!  Her sister, Runrig Fire Fly At Piperglen, "Allie" was awarded reserve winners bitch at the
 
The following day, Runrig Fire At Piperglen, owned and handled by Jan Stephenson was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed, for her frist 2 points!
Both Allie and Maggie are bred by and co-owned with Vickie Shotwell.
 
Also making a ring debut this weekend, was young male bred by and co -owned with Jan Stephenson.  Peiperglen Chasing The Dream, "Phelps". Phelps was shown by another new to the show ring owner, Sydney Young. Phelps was awarded Winners Dog for one 1 point both days. He is sired by CH Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen, out of Piperglen Dancin On The Edge. Congratulations to all the winners!!
