11/11/11 was in deed a lucky day for Runrig Fast Cars and Fast Women! "Marty" earned his first point at the Greater Muskegon show under judge Ms, Mike Macbeath. Marty was shown by his owner Jill Martinez.

At The Tri State Kennel Club show, Runrig Champagne And Diamonds "Taylor" was awarded Winners bitch. Taylor took home 2 points for this win under Judge Ray Bay.

Runrig Whiskey And Women made his ring debut. He was shown by his owner Merril Schmitt at the Red Deer Kennel club show in Canada. "Max" was awarded Winners Dog, Best Of Winners and Best Opposite Sex for 2 points under breeder judge, Lydia Hutchinson from the US.

Runrig Champagne and Diamonds has once again swept her way through sweeps! This time at the CTCA National Specialty show held in PA during Montgomery County Weekend. Our girl, "Taylor" first won the 9 to 12 puppy bitch class. This class had the largest entry, with 12 entries and no absenties. Next Taylor went on to win best puppy bitch.
 
Taylor continued her winning ways by going onto be Best Puppy In Sweeps, as well as Best Opposite Sex In Sweeps! To date Taylor has earned, 2 best in sweeps, 4 best puppies in sweeps, two of these at national specialities, and Best Opposite Sex at Montgomery County!! Taylor finished up the national specialty by going fourth in her class despite having been stung by a wasp.
We are so very proud of this young girl and her brother!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Her litter brother, Runrig Fast Cars and Fast Women, "Marty" not to be outdone, also won his class and Best Puppy Dog. Marty is owned and shown by Jill Martinez. Marty also won his class during the national specialty.
 
 
 
 
 

September 10 & 11, 2011

GCH Runrig Off Road Experience, was awarded BOB both Saturday and Sunday at the Pontiac Kennel Club Shows. Scout was handled by Allison B. Sunderman. Sunday's win also earned him his GCH Title. Thanks to judges Betsy Dale and Mareth K. Kipp! Scout is co-owned with Gail Morabito.

Runrig Champagne And Diamonds was awarded Best Puppy and Best In Sweeps under breeder judge Lisa Tuttle, at the Cairn Terrier Club Of Denver's specialty show. She was also awarded Best puppy in Sweeps under breeder judge Chris Gray, at the clubs second specialty show. Taylor has now earned two Best in Sweeps and three Best Puppy in Sweeps!

At the Longview Kennel Club show, Runrig Braveheart Flirt'N With Danger, "Flirt" was WB, BOW as well as going BOB for a 3 point major to finish her Championship. Flirt was shown by her owner Penny Sturgiss. She finished her title under judge Rodney Hearn. Flirt is the 3rd in the litter of 5 to finish her championship. She is sired by CAN, AM CH Quarrydene's Gambling Man, "Chip" and is out of our CH Runrig Hotter'N Hades, "Hailey" Congratulations to Penny and Flirt!

News from Canada!!

On this same day, a young boy sired by CH Runrig Off Road Experience "Scout," made his ring debut at 7 months old. Beguiling 12 O' Clock Charlie, "Charlie" was WD, and BOW at the All Terrier Specilaty show as well as, Best Puppy In Group/Show, under judge Harry O'Donghue. Charlie was also BOS in Sweeps at the Prarie Regional specialty show. He was shown by his breeder and owner Irene Darius. Charlie's dam is CAN CH Beguiling Live 2 Tell The Tail, "Livy". We are very excited for his owner and breeder, Irene and look forward to seeing this young boy mature.

June 24, 25, & 26 2011

At the Southern California Specialty show in Long Beach Runrig Champagne And Diamonds went Best in Sweeps under Marie Quaryles from the 6 to 9 month Class. This was Taylor's second weekend out, and first specialty show! Her Grandmother, Marquee's Green With Envy, "Ivy" showed here 10 years ago at 7 months for her first specialty, and was Best Opposite In Sweeps! Ivy went onto become the number one Cairn Bitch and number 4 overall Cairn 2002. We look forward to seeing what this young 7 month old girl does!!
 
During this same weekend Taylor went on to go Best Puppy in Sweeps, at the CTCA National Roving Specialty show, under breeder judge Karen Godwin! Taylor also placed 3rd in a very large and tough bred by class under judge Clay Cody at the Great Western show and was 4th in the class at the National Roving under Breeder judge Karen Wilson.
 
 
 
Still more news From Great Western Weekend!
This same weekend, a young boy bred by Jeanette Cromwell and owned by Suzee Bidegain who is sired by Ch Runrig Off Road Experience went Winners Dog at the Southern California Specialty show under judge Ray Bay for a 4 point major! The next day at Great Western Terrier Show he was Winners Dog as well as Best of Winners for a 5 point major under judge Clay Cody! Congratulations to Jeanette and Suzee, and of course Janwell's Rock'n The Boat At YBR "Reese"!! This was Reese's second weekend showing . He now has 3 majors and a total of 12 points!

A young boy from our latest litter, Runrig Fast Cars and Fast Women, "Marty" owned by Jill Martinez made his ring debut in June. His first time in the ring was at the Su Mac specialty show on June 10th. Marty took reserve winners dog to a 5 point major under judge Beth Sweigart.

The following weekend Jill and Marty traveled to Chicago for the The Chicago clubs specialty show. Marty was Best of Opsite in Sweeps under breeder judge Larea Diehl! Marty was only 7 months old at these shows. We are very proud excited about this young boy, and of course his owner Jill!!

Our 6 month old Puppy Runrig Champagne And Diamonds, "Taylor" made her show ring debut at the Seminole Kennel Club show. She was awarded WB and BOB over specials to earn a major under judge Dennis Mccoy. The following day she earned another major going WB, BOW, and BOS under breeder Judge Peggy Beisel Mcilwaine.

"Rex" Runrig Wired For Sound, shown by his co-owner Jeanette Cromwell, was WD for 2 points under judge Robert Black at the Sunflower cluster in Wichita Kansas show on Saturday. "Rex" was again WD as well as BOW on Sunday under judge David Kirkland for another 2 points to finish his Championship!

March 2011

Runrig Cairns is pleased to announce a new Champion! On Sunday March 27 Runrig Devilishly Dangerous At Copperglen earned his Championship under judge Alfred Ferruggiaro. Devlin was Winners Dog for a 4 point major, at the Fort Worth Kennel Club show during the weekend of the Trinity Valley Cairn Terrier Speciality show. Devlin is owned by Carol Ackerson and bred by Vickie Shotwell.
Also during this same weekend GCH Runrig Dangerously Adorable was select bitch at the Trinity Valley speciality show under judge Linda Moore. She was Select Bitch again at Saturdays Fort Worth Kennel club show under judge Ken Mc Dermott.
